As I celebrate another blessed year in my life, I can not stop thinking about how many times my mother gave me courage, helped me get back on my feet and made me feel secure.
So this is for her, FOR EVERYTHING she has done for me.

On these difficult times we’ve all been learning to practice more and more self-care and self-love on ourselves, but I feel like sometimes even these “attentions” have become a trend of the moment, a habit you learn to practice but almost like an automatic reaction to something that made us upset or sad.
Hugs though, they are what gives you warmth, real comfort. And since we can not give or receive them that much lately I wonder: how many times have you hugged yourself, accepting your flaws and all and saying to yourself “I don’t need to be perfect. I just need to embrace the moment and do what I feel to” ?
I feel like we should add self-hug to the list of practices we learned to do to show ourselves more love.

It’s been 6 years since I moved to the big city of Milan and I’ve been living in my current neighborhood for almost 4 years now…I’ve got acquainted with the local markets and boutiques and I’ve seen many beautiful shops open (and unfortunately also close). As I take short walks on these familiar streets for the last times, I realize which are the ones I’ve always loved passing- by and getting a peak through the window.
WINERIA is a beautiful wine shop and aperitivo spot where you can always find one of a kind bottles of wine and spend a nice convivial time with family or friends. I personally love the simple aesthetic look of the shop and its intimate atmosphere.
As I take a little break from the city by moving to the countryside for a while, I wonder if I will actually miss aperitivo and everything a big city can offer or maybe I will just miss the idea of having it right in front of my house. I will follow up on this with a nice glass of wine [*wink wink].
